Punjab Government Has Removed DIG Operations Sohail Chaudhry From His Post For His Alleged Role In Violence On 25th Of May

The Punjab government has removed DIG Operations Sohail Chaudhry from his current post for his alleged involvement in violence during the May 25th Long March. The decision has been taken after the matter circulated on social media.

The supporters of the ruling coalition in Punjab demanding the removal of officers who were involved in Illegal arrests and attacks on the supporters of Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf and it’s leadership during the 25th May Long March.During the first week of May, former Prime Minister Imran Khan announced long march to Islamabad on 25th of May. The ruling party took every step to stop the march from entering Islamabad. There had been a massive crackdown on the supporters of the party.

An operation was launched against the supporters of Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf at D Chowk Islamabad.DIG Operations Sohail Chaudhry is one of those officers who were involved in the crackdown against those who were protesting against the government.
