We, as Civil Servants, must rethink our own attitude towards public, says Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur

Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur Kashif Nabi took on the microblogging site Twitter to express his views about recent exchange of harsh words between AC Sialkot Sonia Sadaf and Firdous Ashiq Awan.

Kashif tweeted a thread and said: “let’s keep aside Firdous Ashiq Awan and AC Sialkot issue, civil servants need to watch their own attitude towards public”. He reminded “why majority thinks we are some officers only interested in taking pictures for social media.”

He admitted that many new officers were seeking validation from public and this act proved how attention seeking young officers were nowadays. He also mentioned that one person did not represent whole institution.

He said that British invaders kept people away from them, because they had fear of revolution and asked why our Civil Servants keep public away from them?, why don’t they give access to the majority of people who cannot see them on Twitter?
