Detained Kashmiri leader Ashraf Sehrai passes away in Indian Occupied Kashmir

Senior Hurriyat leader Ashraf Sehrai who challenged oppression in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) passed away at the age of 78.

Ashraf Sehrai was transferred from jail in Southern region of Jammu to hospital due to multiple diseases.


According to his son Mujahid Sehrai, Ashraf Sehrai was not given proper medical treatment. His condition got worse because of delaying his medical treatment, which was also reported by his father 10 days ago when he spoke to him.

Ashraf Sehrai was arrested by Indian authorities under Public Safety act which allows them to detain anyone from occupied Kashmir without trial for up to 2 years.
