Pakistan’s Judiciary And Military Denied The Request Of Election Commission To Allocate Officers For Election Duties

Pakistan Army Declines The Request For Force Deployment For Elections, As Force Is Required To Counter The Threat Of Terrorism. Under the constitution of Pakistan, all stare institutions are bound to assist election commission to conduct free and fair elections in the country.

According To Electronic Media Reports, Pakistan Army Has Declined The Request For Security Force By The Election Commission Of Pakistan To Conduct By Elections And Elections Of Provincial Assemblies In The Country. According to media reports, this request has been turned down has the northern provinces of the country have been facing the issues of rising terrorism.

Earlier, High Court also rejected the request of ECP for allocation of judges as Returning Officers during elections.
