Poonch Attack In Occupied Kashmir, Prior To G20 And SCO Summit, Raises Intelligence Concerns

According to officials, a group of armed terrorists ambushed an army truck that was ferrying soldiers between Bhimber Gali and Poonch in the Rajouri sector on Thursday afternoon around 3 pm.

The attack resulted in the death of at least five soldiers, while another one was injured. The Jammu-based defence spokesperson, Lt Col Devender Anand, stated that the terrorists fired upon the army vehicle while taking advantage of heavy rains and low visibility in the area, causing the vehicle to catch fire due to the likely use of grenades.

The attack on the army truck appears to have been an intelligence failure, as it occurred during a critical time when India was set to host the G-20 Summit and SCO Summit. The incident is deeply concerning, as it highlights the vulnerability of Indian security forces in the region. The militant group responsible for the attack is the FAFF, which is fighting for the freedom of the Kashmiri people.
