Delay in Justice: Student Crushed by Car, Islamabad Police Fails to File FIR Amid Suspected Influence of Culprits

On April 3rd, tragedy struck in Islamabad when Aimal Sarfaraz Khan lost his life in a devastating accident. Aimal and his classmate, Yasir Ali, were riding a bike through the streets of F-7 when a speeding Mercedes, identified by its license plate IDN-626, collided with them at Jatoi Chowk.

Both suffered severe injuries and were rushed to Hospital. Despite efforts, Aimal succumbed to his injuries while Yasir Ali remains hospitalized in Kulsoom International Hospital.The grieving family of Aimal Sarfaraz now faces the added burden of delayed action from the authorities.

Even after 10 days, the Islamabad Police has yet to register an FIR (First Information Report) regarding the tragic event. This delay has sparked outrage and concern among the community, raising questions about justice and accountability.

According to a report by 92 news, Police is reluctant to File and FIR .

Senior Journalist Matiullah Jan has highlighted this issue, questioning the reasons behind the delay in registering the FIR. He underscored the troubling trend where even basic processes require a reference, indicating inefficiency and a lack of responsiveness from the authorities.

Urgent calls have been made for swift action to address the delay and ensure justice. Upholding safety and accountability within the community is essential to provide solace to the grieving family and restore faith in the justice system.

The accused party reached out to our team, refuting any culpability and alleging that the bikers violated the red light, leading to the regrettable accident. They acknowledged the tragedy of the loss of life but asserted it was an unfortunate incident. They denied exerting pressure on the police and stated that the police’s reluctance to meet the demands of the victim’s family was solely based on the evidence and witness testimonies. They expressed their readiness to provide compensation to the student’s family.
