Pakistan refuses air bases for US after troops withdrawal from Afghanistan

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday during a press conference in Islamabad said we will protect nation’s interests. Pakistan will not provide air bases to US after troops withdrawal from Afghanistan.

US President Joe Biden who assured US will pullout remaining 2500 US troops from Afghanistan by Sept 11 2021, adding four months in previous deadline which was set by an agreement in Doha peace talks between US and Afghan Taliban by Donald Trump Administration.

Qureshi said Pakistan government has balanced role of facilitator of peace talks, nothing more, nothing less, we made are point clear at first.


Pakistan will continue its role as a partner in peace process as it’s necessary for the region but there will be no space for US bases in Pakistan.
