Recently a video went viral on Social Media in which a man can be seen having a heated argument with Islamabad police officials. The furious person had a torn shirt collar and was yelling at the policemen who had allegedly manhandled him.
Besides police officials, a family was also present at the scene. According to sources, the person yelling was a serving Major of Pakistan Army who was going towards Daman-e-Koh along with his family.
They were stopped at the police check post and told that no one was allowed to visit Daman-e-Koh due to lockdown. The Major turned his car to go back but then he saw the police allowing another car to proceed, he came back to ask why someone else was allowed to pass when he wasn’t.
Situation escalated when the ASI Shahzad physically assaulted the Major, who then had to reveal his identity. Inspector General of police (IGP) has ordered an inquiry to establish the facts and fix responsibility. The policemen involved have been removed from the check post.
