Mia Khalifa has always been vocal when it comes to injustice, no matter if it’s farmers’ protest in India or violence against Palestinian people by Israel.
After the Israeli attack on Al Aqsa, the world was looking towards Malala to condemn this brutality and raise her voice for innocent Palestinian worshippers who were victims of the Al Aqsa attack.
Instead of Malala, it turned out to be Mia Khalifa who used her official social media handle to condemn the brutal attack on Palestinians. She firstly tweeted “All I see is an offence against innocent humans which is being funded by UN”. She gave a befitting reply to many of those who were justifying violence against Palestinian people.
Contributing to the #FreePalestine trend, showing the history of Israeli occupation year by year, criticising the UN, USA and highlighting their financial support to Israel which is being used against Palatine, Mia stood with the truth regardless of the status and influence of those supporting injustice.
The Nobel Laureate Malala talked about Palestine twice in the middle of ongoing violence. Her first tweet came after continuous insistence, that tweet highlighted violence against women and children without naming the victim and criminals, resulting in more backlash for being neutral. Her second tweet was a video that was made after continuous criticism for not naming those who are committing human rights violations against Palestine which made her upload the video statement and she called out the actual culprit.
