Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive against Palestine, starting from the attack on Masjid Al Aqsa, Indian social media has been defending Israel on every forum by justifying how the Israeli attack on unarmed worshippers in Al-Aqsa is an act of self-defence.
While suffering from a deadly pandemic and shortage of oxygen, India has forgotten their own needs, just for the sake of defending Israel. Instead of demanding their basic requirements to tackle the pandemic, showing their support towards Israel and defending their brutalities has become Indian social media’s priority.
But Israeli PM managed to surprise India with his tweet. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted flags of 25 countries and said Israel appreciates your support, but Netanyahu didn’t add the Indian flag in his appreciation tweet.
Countries Netanyahu mentioned were the USA, Albania, Australia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Cyprus, Czechia, Georgia, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Paraguay, Slovenia, Ukraine and Uruguay, but India was nowhere to be seen. However Indian social media responded to Netanyahu’s tweet and said that they still stood with Israel.
