Pakistan Information Minister Fawad Choudhary stated, “Pakistan ISI and Pakistan Army respect human rights”.
Fawad in an interview with BBC’s Hard Talk where he was questioned about missing persons during the PTI regime and issues that happened during the 3 years of PTI-led government.
Before Imran Khan came into power, he was considered an anti-establishment leader. Stephen Sackur also mentioned the issue of missing persons, involvement of ISI and Army in government’s affairs.
But when he came into power, his thoughts and remarks against the establishment changed. BBC interviewer mentioned these points while asking Fawad Choudhary about the involvement of ISI and the Army in internal matters.
All this is happening due to Aaj news producer and journalist Asad Toor’s claim that he was not beaten up by his friends but ISI.
This whole matter got worse when Hamid Mir in a protest deliberately targeted Army and used inappropriate language against Pakistan Army and ISI.
Hamid Mir and Asad Toor are famous for their anti-establishment statements and strong condemnation of army involvement in government affairs. Moreover, Hamid, in yesterday’s statement was too slang and inappropriate which created a sensation in national and international media as well. Many senior journalists have condemned Hamid Mir and Asad Toor’s allegation.
