Indian Media Worries More About Afghan Women Than How Their Own Forces Are Treating Kashmiri Women, Afghan Journalist To Indian Media

An Afghan Taliban Associated Journalist, Tariq Ghazniwal, spoke to an Indian news channel Aaj Tak. He appeared as a guest in Anjana Om Kashyap’s show and pointed out the Indian media hypocrisy and said that Indian media worries more about Afghan women than how their own armed forces are treating Kashmiri women.

The Indian news anchor asked the Afghan journalist about the protest in Kabul by Afghan women in a very offensive manner and accused Afghan Taliban of torturing women. However, the Afghan journalist replied politely and denied all the claims of Indian media. He said that protest is everyone’s right, and Afghan Taliban have not harmed protesting Afghan women.

Moreover, he also pointed out that Indian media is hypocritical and does not bat an eye on how their own armed forces treat Kashmiri women in Indian occupied Kashmir. Instead, it tends to worry about Afghan women and falsely accuses the Afghan Taliban of torturing them.

The Afghan Taliban-associated journalist also told the news anchor that she was speaking as if she is bullying him and she needs to learn some ethics.

New Island Emerges Near Balochistan’s Kund Malir Beach

On Thursday, a new island appeared in the Arabian Sea near Balochistan’s Kund Malir beach. Onlookers familiar with the area inside swaths of Hingol National Park near the Makran Coastal Highway reported that the island appeared from the depths of the water and spans a big area.

According to Muhammad Moazzam Khan, a WWF Pakistani Technical Advisor ( Marine Fisheries) the new island appeared in the west off the coast of Sonmiani near Kund Malir.

These Islands appear as a result of excessive geological activity in the area, he explained adding that such small islands vanish eventually. He said that it is a normal activity around this area.

It’s worth noting that similar islands appeared in the same place in 2000 and 2010.

In 2013, a massive earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 rocked Pakistan, creating an island off the coast of Gwadar. However, after some time had passed the island reappeared.

Arrest Warrants Issued Against Saba Qamar And Bilal Saeed For Shooting Dance Video Inside Mosque

Last year in August 2020, superstar Saba Qamar and famous Pakistani singer, Bilal Saeed, shared a short video clip of their upcoming song, ‘Qubool Hai’. This song was filmed in an Asian historic masjid of Lahore near Dehli gate ‘Wazir Khan’ mosque.

The video had some inappropriate shots of a couple dancing in the masjid, which was directed by Saba Qamar herself. The act was totally against the respect of the masjid, and consequently, they both had to face a lot of criticism from their fans and media. Because filming a music video containing dancing shots has hurt the religious sentiments of the public. Additionally, the action was taken against the administration of the mosque as well.

Later, an FIR was registered against both of them at Akbari Gate police station under section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The exact wording of Section 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code is this: “Whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine.”

But luckily, they both were granted pre-arrest bails against surety bonds worth Rs 50,000 collectively from August 15, 2020, till August 25, with a further extension given till September 2020. Later, Bilal Saeed subsequently apologized to the public in a video posted on social media. “We realize that what has happened over the past few days has hurt sentiments deeply,” he wrote as a caption. “We as Muslims, as decent human beings and as artists will never, ever trivialize or condone disrespect Islam or any other religion, race, caste, color or creed. If we have unknowingly hurt anyone’s sentiments, we apologize to you all with all our heart.”

Saba Qamar, on the other hand, responded to the criticism in a series of tweets, saying the clip was a “prologue to the music video featuring a Nikkah scene”.

Now, in September 2021, Judicial Magistrate Javeria Bhatti issued arrest warrants for both the artists for not following the court orders for the appearance. The judge had earlier summoned them as their case was presented, but both failed to appear before the court. The court now thus, has issued warrants for both.

Air Commodore Muhammad Mahmood Alam, a legendary hero of Pakistan who set a new record of downing five Indian aircraft in less than one minute, during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1965.

MM Alam is nicknamed as ‘Little Dragon’ for his exceptional flying skills and exceedingly inspiring feat of gallantry display in the war of 1965.

MM Alam was in a North American Aviation F-86 flying ace, he was air commodore who served Pakistan Air Force (PAF) till 1984. He is a National Hero, who earned the success of being the first-ever pilot listed on the top in the hall of farmers list at the PAF Museum in Karachi.

In the late-night of 1965, when the enemy crossed the International Border attacking Lahore and Kasur, MM Alam was the first commanding officer of Squadron of Assaults Mirage III, took F-86 Sabre jet plane equipped with AIM-9 sidewinder missiles, flew over Sargodha, defeated those enemies who entered Pakistan’s air space in a single raid and ace the day.

In total, he knocked down nine Indian jets ‘Hawker Hunters’ superior to the Sabre jet, while downing five of them in less than one minute, setting the great aces of the jet ages. For this unforgettable and unbeaten exceptional world record, the Nation’s pride was awarded Sitara-e-Jurat.

Six Palestinians Escape Israeli Gilboa Prison Using A Spoon To Dig A Tunnel

A rusty spoon, patience and courage are all you need to escape a highly secure Israel jail. This has been done by 6 Palestinians who have escaped through a tunnel (Gilboa prison) which they dug using just a spoon.

Out of six prisoners, the prominent one is Zakaria Zubeidi, a commander in the resistance wing of the Palestinian political party and the other five are all reported to be members of the resistance group, CNN reported.

The very dramatic escape has caused an outrageousness in International media, Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that its a “grave incident” that required maximum effort by Israel’s security authorities.

Palestinians celebrated this as a victory and Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah (President of Palestine) praised the escape and called it “the victory tunnel”, a popular term indeed. A group that controls the Gaza strip “Hamas” also celebrated and called it a “real defeat” for Israel’s security system.

Israeli media reports said the escapees might have already returned to the West Bank. Palestine is an occupied territory by Israel since 1967 and thus their celebration is understandable.

Many people are recalling an escape movie “Shawshank redemption”, in which the main character used a small hammer and dug a tunnel for 20 years and escaped. The funny part is that it was an American movie. So what do we call it? Snake biting its tail?
