“China Is A Good Friend Of Afghanistan” – Afghan Taliban

Afghan Taliban see China as a friend of Afghanistan. According to media reports, Taliban have assured the security of Chinese investments in Afghanistan.

Afghan Taliban’s Spokesperson Suhail Shaheen said they see China as a friend and are hoping to talk to China about investing in reconstruction work as soon as possible. Shaheen said, “we have been to china many times and we have good relations with them. China is a friendly country and we welcome them for reconstruction and development of Afghanistan” .

“If (the Chinese) have investments, of course, we will ensure their safety”. American troops withdrawal and resurgence of the Taliban should be strategically beneficial for China as Taliban shares strong ties with Pakistan. China have been eyeing big scale investments in Afghanistan as the country has the world’s largest unexploited reserves of copper, coal, iron, gas, cobalt, gold, lithium etc, valued more than 1 trillion US Dollars .

In 2011, China’s national petroleum corporation won a 400 million dollar bid to drill 3 oil fields for 25 years containing roughly 87 million barrels of oil. Chinese have also gain rights to mine copper at logar province of Afghanistan.

US is The Real Culprit Behind Afghan Issue, Says China

Spokesperson of Chinese foreign ministry Wang Wenbin has said that America has ignored its responsibilities and called back its army from Afghanistan in hurry. This act has spread filth and war for the Afghan people and other countries of the region, he added in his routine briefing on Saturday.

America, being the actual culprit of the Aghan issue, accepts the inevitable liability for the present situation in Afghanistan. Chinese Foreign Minister is also ready to discuss the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan next week at a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The airline that carried out an emergency chartered flight said that, earlier, China has withdrawn 210 nationals from Afghanistan as US troops sped up their evacuation from the war-ravaged country. According to a social media post, the airline departed the capital Kabul on July 2, for the city of Wuhan, Hubei province carrying the Chinese citizens who had been stuck in Afghanistan. Among them, 22 people were later confirmed to be infected from coronavirus. The flight was organized by the Chinese Government, reported the state media Global Times.

Indian Officials Evacuate Kandahar Consulate As Afghan Taliban Near To Take Control Of City

India implemented its decision to evacuate its diplomats and officials from the Kandahar embassy as the Taliban claimed to have control of 85 per cent of Afghanistan, reaching the Kandahar city. According to the reports, more than 50 diplomats and staff were evacuated from the Kandahar embassy. Initially, the Indian government tried to engage with the Taliban, but they were not welcomed.

The Taliban are very near to claim the Kandahar city. Keeping in view the security situation and increasing control of the Taliban in Afghanistan, the Indian government temporarily pulls out its diplomats from the Kandahar embassy.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Arindam Bagchi, said that Indian officials have been evacuated for the time being given the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan.

According to Bagchi, it was a temporary pull-out. The Indian consulate continues to operate through the local members of the embassy. A special aircraft was sent to bring the diplomats back on Saturday.

However, on Tuesday, four days before the pull-out, the Indian embassy declared the news regarding the evacuation as rumours.

Last week, the Indian embassy asked all Indians in Afghanistan to remain vigilant.

US Shocked To Know Pakistan And China Are Going For Political Solution In Afghanistan Without US Involvement

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had a telephonic conversation in which they had discussed the need for a stable and sustainable bilateral relationship between Pakistan and the US. This Conversation took place right after Pakistan and China agreed to join hands with Afghan parties for political solution in Afghanistan and long lasting stability, While US is nowhere in this geo-political strategy of Pakistan, China and Afghan stakeholders.

Afghan Govt Seeks Pakistan’s Help In Bringing Taliban To The Negotiation Table

The Afghan government has requested Pakistan to help them bring Taliban to negotiation table amid looming civil war chances post US withdrawal from the country after 20 years. “We are hopeful that Pakistan will help Afghanistan disrupt the Taliban’s supply and brutal campaign”, said the Afghan Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Afghanistan government has been facing difficulties in bringing the Taliban to the negotiating table. “Taliban are making a huge mistake. All of us have extended a hand of friendship towards them,” said the Afghan Foreign Minister. The minister further stated that the whole region was threatened by these terrorist groups. “The entire region, not Afghanistan alone, is at threat from these groups,” he stressed. He said that Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, India, Russia and the Middle East are in danger due to the rise of such groups.

China Ready To Join Hands With Pakistan And Afghan Taliban For Peace In Afghanistan

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi showed interest in extending relationship with Pakistan and Afghan Taliban to next level for the sake of peace in the region and stability in Afghanistan. He said that China was ready to show support and cooperation for longlasting peace in the country.

Foreign Minister also highlighted long lasting friendship between Pakistan and China, extending support to Pakistan from economy revival to covid-19 relief, Beijing has always been there for Pakistan, said Wang Yi.

Chinese Foreign Minister said we believe that China and Pakistan collectively need to protect peace in the region and both countries are looking for a political solution in Afghanistan with corporation of all parties in Afghanistan.

China along with Pakistan is willing to enhance communication with Afghanistan and ready to offer them involvement in CPEC, including road and belt initiative.
