Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced that he would no longer go to any private function along with any protocol and security. He said to save taxpayer money and not inconvenience the public.
The premier further quoted in his tweet that he is also undertaking a review of security and protocol for ministers, governors, and chief ministers belonging to the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in order to identify ways to minimize public inconvenience and expenditure.
Moreover, he said that a comprehensive policy would be decided by the federal cabinet next week in this regard. The Executive ended the twitter thread by quoting that “We will put an end to the colonial legacy of pomp and glory used to overwhelm the people.”
