The security situation in Afghanistan has a direct impact on peace and security in Pakistan as peaceful Afghanistan means peace in Pakistan. This is the main reason behind Pakistan’s high officials concern regarding the security situation in Afghanistan.

Earlier this Saturday, the Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Pakistan, General Faiz Hameed, hosted a high-level meeting of intelligence chiefs of countries like China, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.

The agenda of the meeting was related to the prevailing security situation in Afghanistan. As per reports, intelligence chiefs Chen Wenquing, Admiral Igor Kostykov, Major General Mohammed Bagheri, Kalmukhanbet Kassymov, Colonel General Saimumin Yatimov, Gurbanmyrat Annaev, Abdusalom Azizov of China, Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan respectively, also presented their views on the recent security and political developments in Afghanistan.

Earlier this week, a high-profile meeting was held among the foreign ministers of China, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan which aimed at serving the same agenda.

Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), General Faiz Hameed had also visited Afghanistan earlier this month to discuss economic and security ties between the two countries.

  1. Undoubtedly current situation in afghanistan leave bad effects on peace and security states around there. ISI chief had a great urgent meeting to maintain peace and security not in pakistan and few states other but through out the world. I hope ISI will play a vital role for peace and security.
