Putin Calls For Sovereign Palestine Accuses US For Conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin has made his first public statement regarding the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Hamas militant group. In his remarks, Putin criticized the United States for what he perceived as a pro-Israel policy that did not adequately consider the interests of Palestine.

The statement came after a meeting between Russian President Viladimir Putin and Iraq’s President with Palestine situation as one of the main agendas of the meeting.

Putin Accuses West For Conflict In Palestine

Putin also accused the West of not taking into account the fundamental interests of the Palestinian people. He emphasized the need to implement decisions made by the UN Security Council regarding the establishment of an independent sovereign Palestinian state. He noted that previous attempts to mediate the conflict had lacked consideration for these fundamental interests.

These statements by President Putin align with earlier remarks made by Russian officials and media figures. Russian officials blamed the West for failing to ensure peace and security. This resulted in war between Israel and Palestine, Putin said.

Kremlin yesterday issued a statement about the conflict. Kremlin blamed US foreign policy as a major factor in today’s war between Palestinian freedom fighters and Israeli forces.

In addition to this Russian envoy in United Nations Security Council refused to blame Palestine for the conflict rather said that it was a failure of US foreign policy in Middle East.

Putin expressed the view that this situation in Palestine shows a failure of U.S. policy in the Middle East. He asserted that Washington had attempted to monopolize conflict regulation. Putin added that West failed to focus on mutually acceptable compromises in Palestine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also made similar remarks. He asserted that the creation of a Palestinian state represented the most reliable solution for achieving peace in Israel.

The Kremlin disclosed that Russia was actively engaged with both Israel and Palestine. Kremlin is engaging itself in an effort to help bring an end to the hostilities. The war already resulted in a significant loss of life, with more than 1,600 casualties reported.
