Imran Khan Voted By Educated, While PMLN/PPP By Illiterate Voters, Says Gallup

The recent Gallup Pakistan survey has provided valuable insights into the voting behavior observed during the latest general elections, delineating distinct voting trends across various demographics. The data shows that majority of the educated people in the country showed their affinity towards Imran Khan and PTI.

Imran Khan and his party, PTI were the first choice for educated class. Notably, the survey highlights a significant affinity towards Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) among educated youth, particularly among high school graduates aged 18 to 24, who constituted a substantial 41% of PTI’s electoral base. Imran Khan claims that the educated class supports his party and the recent data validates his claim.

Conversely, the voting preferences among less-educated segments, such as illiterate and middle-pass voters, displayed a noticeable inclination towards Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).Specifically, among illiterate voters, 29% expressed a preference for PML-N, while 23% leaned towards PPP, with PTI securing 21% of their votes.

Similarly, within the middle-pass category, 31% cast their ballots for PML-N, 26% for PTI, and 15% for PPP. These findings underscore the intricate interplay between education levels and political affiliations within the electorate.
