More Than 400 Bodies Found In Mass Graves In Hospitals Of Gaza

Authorities in the Gaza Strip have discovered mass grave with more than 400 bodies. At two of the hospitals, mass graves were containing a total of 392 bodies, including women, children, and elderly individuals, according to officials in the region. The bodies displayed signs of torture and execution.

On the sixth straight day of exhuming bodies in southern Gaza, Palestinian Civil Defense officials on Thursday shared disturbing new findings about the mass graves located around Nasser and al-Shifa hospitals.

Among the dead, ten were found in mass graves with their hands bound, and some still had medical tubes attached, suggesting they may have been buried alive, explained Mohammed Mughier, a member of the Civil Defense team.

“We require forensic examination for approximately 20 bodies of individuals who we suspect were buried alive,” stated Mughier.Yamen Abu Sulaiman, head of the civil defense department in southern Khan Younis where Nasser Hospital is located, reported that three distinct mass graves were discovered at the hospital—one located behind the morgue, one in front of the morgue, and one near the dialysis building.

Out of the 392 bodies recovered, only 65 have been identified by their families due to challenges such as decomposition, mutilation, and torture. The condition of the bodies, which were found “stacked together,” indicates the likelihood of field executions having taken place, Sulaiman explained.

Earlier, Mass Graves were found in schools in Gaza.
