Operation Bunyan un Marsoos; A show of how faith led to a  glorious victory:

Pakistan launched operation Bunyan un Marsoos on 10th May, 2025 in response to escalating Indian belligerence. The baseless Indian claims without any solid evidence infuriated the civil and military establishment in Pakistan. Operation Bunyan un Marsoos stands a a pivotal breakthrough in redefining strategies and strengths which were highly underestimated by Indian state. India allegedly held Pakistan responsible of the terror attack that took place in Pahalgam which killed 26 tourists. India has always made baseless claims against Pakistan without even giving a single thought towards the idea of investigation. Pakistan urged India multiple times to conduct a neutral inquiry of the matter and denied any Pakistani involvement in the attack. But India did not gather any evidence and started striking Pakistan claiming that it was targeting terrorist camps inside pakistan.

Similar pattern was noticed during the Pulwama attack when India uncontrollably attacked areas inside Pakistan followed by Balakot strikes which were the first time after 1971, India directly attacked inside Pakistani territory. After the Pahalgam incident, India attacked Pakistan on 7th may, 2025, striking Muzaffarabad, Ahmed Pur East, Kotli, Muridke, Sialkot and Shakargarh. These attacks claimed the life of 31 people including women and children. In response to it, Pakistan carried out retaliatory strikes against India. It led to first ever largest dogfight between the two nuclear armed neighbours; India and Pakistan. The dogfight involved 125 jets which clashed with each-other. The credit goes to PAF which maintained air sovereignty and dealt with Indian airforce in a matter of minutes. Pakistan’s single retaliatory strike was a great setback to Indian air defence system which led to the downing and grounding of several Indian aircrafts.

On the night of May 8-9, India again conducted drone strikes despite Pakistan’s warning of retaliating with such a force that will be impossible for India to handle. However, Pakistan did not respond but neutralised 90 drones, to which India responded by creating a hysteria among the media. Pakistan dismissed Indian claims by calling it just a media storytelling with zero percent authenticity. Moreover, india attacked Pakistani cities by claiming that Pakistan has attacked its civilians. Pakistan responded by issuing a strong statement that Pakistan will not carry out coward attack ls rather it would inform India before striking and the strike will be of such an extent that not only India but the whole world will witness. Furthermore, on the night of May 9-10, India targeted three airbases in Pakistan, in response to which Pakistan announced operation Bunyan un Marsoos which means firm wall of lead. Pakistan warned India to wait for its response.

Within a few minutes, Pakistan retaliated by launching missile strikes on India, targeting several Indian locations. Another phase of air dogfight continued, which led to the downing of 6 Indian Rafale jets over Lahore, Kashmir and Sialkot. During a press conference, PAF Air Vice Marshal, Aurangzeb Ahmed said “ Rafale is a very potent aircraft, if employed well”.  However, Pakistan’s strikes were effective, unique and well planned. The operation demonstrated Pakistan’s hard power which not only surprised India but the entire world.

The blame of India’s unhinged action lies in Modi government’s aggressive posture towards Pakistan. The desire of India to become a regional hegemon failed very badly and its heinous acts hot it ridiculed internationally, while Pakistan earned global respect for its mature response. The operation can be regarded as a constant tug between war and faith. The word ‘Bunyan un Marsoos’ is taken from a Quranic verse in Surah al Saff which translates as:

“Allah indeed loves those who fight in his way as though they are a solid wall cemented with molten lead”.

The CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir offered fajr prayer and recited Surah al Saff. The operation commenced, invoking divine guidance. The night was fierce with chaos, but the faith held its ground. The skirmishes along the LOC, the sound of foe’s jets and the rain of missiles were met with a strong faith of our brave fighters who were fighting like ‘Bunyan un Marsoos’. It is correctly said that wars are fought with the weapons but are won through faith and prayers. In the face of aggression, by a rogue state like India, the unwavering faith of our soldiers paved the way for the glorious victory of our beloved Pakistan. The hearts were full of patriotism, the faith was u shakable, and the unity and courage carried the country through its darkest time. The resilience of our soldiers like the wall of lead transformed the trial into triumph.

It is rightly stated by CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir “ Pakistan humesha zindabad”
