LONDON: Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of imprisoned former prime minister Imran Khan, has married Irish-Australian businessman Cameron O’Reilly, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
Goldsmith, 52, and O’Reilly, 62, exchanged vows over the weekend, with her brother Ben Goldsmith confirming that the couple had married, the publication reported.
O’Reilly is the son of late Irish media magnate and former international rugby player Sir Anthony O’Reilly. He has four children, while Goldsmith has two sons, Kasim and Sulaiman, from her marriage to Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The Daily Mail previously reported that Goldsmith’s family members, including her brother Robin Birley, know O’Reilly well.
According to the publication, the couple met through work and remained friends before beginning a relationship. O’Reilly has maintained a private life, while Goldsmith has sought to keep their relationship away from public attention.
An Oxford graduate, O’Reilly spent about a decade working within his father’s media company, Independent News & Media. He later joined Australian media group APN News & Media and stepped down as chief executive in 2000.
He launched his own private fund management business three years later and subsequently acquired a Swiss metering company.
Goldsmith, the daughter of late billionaire financier Sir James Goldsmith, has remained active in campaigning for the release of Imran Khan, the father of her two sons.
Goldsmith and Imran Khan announced their divorce in 2004 after nearly nine years of marriage.
The former Pakistan cricket captain has been in prison since 2023 in connection with corruption cases, which he denies.
