Three Palestinians killed in separate Israeli attacks in Gaza despite ceasefire

GAZA: At least three Palestinians, including two brothers, were killed and several others injured in separate Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian media reports.

The official news agency WAFA reported that a drone strike targeted a water treatment facility in the Shuja’iyya neighbourhood, east of Gaza City. Two brothers were killed in the attack, while a third sibling sustained injuries.

In a separate incident, a Palestinian identified as Masoud Abu Amra was shot dead by Israeli forces near the Muawiya Mosque in the northwest of Rafah.

Heavy gunfire and shelling were also reported in Khan Yunis, where two people were injured after Israeli forces targeted the Beni Suheila area. The wounded were shifted to Nasser Hospital for treatment.

Ceasefire violations alleged

The incidents occurred despite an existing ceasefire agreement, with Palestinian authorities accusing Israel of repeatedly violating the truce.

Officials claim that thousands of ceasefire violations have taken place since the agreement came into effect, resulting in hundreds of Palestinian casualties, including women, children and elderly civilians.

The continued violence has raised concerns about the fragility of the ceasefire and the risk of further escalation in the region.
