Security forces killed 11 terrorists in Balochistan under Operation Raddul Fitna 3 in separate operations in Panjgur and Chagai districts, security sources said on Saturday. The operations were part of the ongoing campaign against militancy in the restive province.
Five terrorists were killed during an operation in the Gowargo area of Panjgur district, the sources said. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists, they added.
Security forces also conducted effective operations against terrorists in the Ameenabad and Siah Chang areas of Chagai district. Six terrorists were killed during the raids, according to security sources. The operations were part of the ongoing Operation Raddul Fitna 3 campaign.
Pakistan has witnessed a surge in terror activities, particularly in its KP and Balochistan provinces, since 2021, when the Afghan Taliban came into power. According to a report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), the two provinces remained the country’s main hotspots for violence during the second quarter of 2026, with KP emerging as the worst-affected region.
The report stated that KP and Balochistan together accounted for nearly 96% of all violence-related fatalities recorded during the quarter. Of the total deaths, more than 61% (475) were reported in KP, while Balochistan accounted for 34% (265).
KP also recorded the highest number of violent incidents, with 151 cases, representing 57% of the nationwide total. Balochistan followed with 94 incidents, or 35%, underscoring the concentration of militant activity in the two provinces.
The operations in Panjgur and Chagai districts are part of the military’s continued efforts to eliminate terrorism from the region. The recovery of weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists highlights the ongoing threat posed by militant groups in Balochistan.
The security forces have been carrying out intelligence-based operations across the province to dismantle terrorist networks and prevent attacks. The latest operations under Operation Raddul Fitna 3 resulted in the elimination of 11 terrorists, dealing a significant blow to militant outfits operating in the area.
Balochistan has been a focal point of security operations due to its strategic location and the presence of various militant groups. The province shares borders with Afghanistan and Iran, making it a key area for security forces to monitor and secure.
Despite the challenges, security forces remain committed to restoring peace and stability in the region. The operations under Operation Raddul Fitna 3 are part of a broader strategy to curb terrorism and ensure the safety of citizens.
In recent months, security forces have conducted numerous operations across KP and Balochistan, resulting in the elimination of several terrorists and the recovery of weapons and explosives. The government has reiterated its resolve to continue the fight against terrorism until it is completely eradicated from the country.
The latest operations in Balochistan demonstrate the security forces’ capability to respond effectively to terrorist threats and their commitment to protecting the nation. The elimination of 11 terrorists is a testament to the success of Operation Raddul Fitna 3.
