Some TTP Groups Want To Talk To The Govt For Peace, If They Surrender, We Will Forgive Them, Says Imran Khan

The premier, in an interview with TRT World’s Ali Mustafa in Islamabad, revealed that the Pakistan government is presently having talks with some groups of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) for reconciliation. He said that he thinks some of the Pakistani Taliban groups want to talk to our government for “peace and reconciliation”.

Replying to the question he said that Afghanistan is playing a supportive role and the talks are being held in Afghanistan. He said that political dialogue is a way head, he emphasized that he never believed in a military solution, he repeated “I am anti-military solution”. When asked that if the Taliban lay down their arms then what would be Pakistan’s reaction, he said that we will forgive them and they will live as normal citizens.

The interviewer asked if the government is negotiating with TTP then why they are still targeting Pakistan’s security forces, he replied that it was just an outbreak of attacks, he added that might be possible we may not reach some conclusion, in the end, the fate of the negotiations is still to be decided.
