Former Pakistani cricket head coach Robert Andrew Woolmer aka Bob Woolmer embraced Islam just a few days before his death. Revealed by former Pakistan cricket captain Inzamam Ul Haq, he claimed Bob Woolmer was interested in knowing Islam.
Inzamam Ul Haq also added that Bob Woolmer used to ask for Islamic information, books and references. After learning Islam Bob recited Kalma E Shahada in front of cricketer Mushtaq Ahmed.
Bob Woolmer died a sudden death shortly after Pakistan was unexpectedly eliminated from the 2007 world cup. He said Sahada 4 days before his death but Ulemas can only comment on his religious status if he had embraced Islam or not Inzamam added.
