RAWALPINDI: A bus hostess has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a man at a hotel in the Pirwadhai area of Rawalpindi, prompting police to register a case and initiate an investigation.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the victim, a resident of Layyah, stated that she works as a bus hostess and had been returning to Rawalpindi after visiting her hometown.
She told police that due to a road closure, she disembarked from her bus at Tarnol, where a man offered her a ride. The suspect later dropped her near a hotel in the Pirwadhai area before leaving.
The complainant said she checked into a room to rest but was later disturbed by a knock on the door. Upon opening it, she alleged that the same individual forced his way inside, overpowered her, and rendered her unconscious.
She further alleged that the suspect sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene. After regaining consciousness, she reported finding injuries on her body.
Police registered the case on Monday and said an investigation is underway. Authorities have yet to apprehend the suspect.
