Pakistani students can apply for fully funded Master’s and PhD scholarships at the University of Oxford for the 2027 academic intake.
The scholarships are offered by the Martingale Foundation and cover selected postgraduate programmes in mathematics, artificial intelligence, computer science and related fields. Pakistan is among the countries eligible for the scholarships.
Successful candidates will receive full tuition fee coverage, research support and a tax-free living stipend. The application deadline is October 18, 2026, while successful students are expected to begin their programmes in September 2027.
Master’s Programmes
The Martingale Foundation supports several Master’s programmes at the University of Oxford.
MSc in Mathematical Sciences
The programme provides advanced study in mathematics and related disciplines for students seeking further academic and research training.
MSc in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics
This programme combines advanced mathematics with theoretical physics and develops students’ knowledge and research skills across both fields.
MSc in Advanced Computer Science
The programme offers advanced training in computer science and covers areas related to computing and artificial intelligence.
PhD Programmes
The scholarship also supports selected doctoral programmes at Oxford, where PhD degrees are known as DPhil programmes.
DPhil in Mathematics
Students conduct advanced research in a chosen area of mathematics under academic supervision.
DPhil in Autonomous Intelligent Machines and Systems
The programme focuses on autonomous and intelligent systems, including areas related to artificial intelligence, robotics and advanced computing.
DPhil in Computer Science
The programme allows students to undertake original research in computer science and related fields.
Scholarship Benefits
The Martingale Foundation Scholarship provides financial support throughout the eligible postgraduate programme.
Selected scholars receive full tuition fee coverage and support for eligible research expenses. They also receive a tax-free living stipend based on the Living Wage Foundation.
Scholars may also receive support with university applications, professional development opportunities, leadership training and access to academic and industry networks.
Successful candidates will also become part of the Martingale research community.
Eligibility Criteria

Academic Requirements

How to Apply
Applicants must first submit an application to the Martingale Foundation. Those who successfully complete this stage become Martingale Qualified Candidates.
Candidates must then submit a separate application for an eligible postgraduate programme at the University of Oxford.
For PhD scholarships, participating universities select recipients from the pool of qualified candidates. For Master’s scholarships, the Martingale Foundation allocates available funding places through its own selection process.
