The Story

The series follows Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi from his early years under Noor ud Din Zangi through his campaigns to unite the Muslim territories of Syria, Egypt, Palestine and Mesopotamia, culminating in the historic recapture of Jerusalem in 1187.

Salahuddin — known in the West as Saladin — was born into a Kurdish family and became the first sultan of both Egypt and Syria, founding the Ayyubid dynasty. At the peak of his power his realm stretched from Egypt to Yemen to northern Mesopotamia. He is celebrated not only for his military victories but for the mercy he showed at Jerusalem — a stark contrast to the massacre carried out by the Crusaders when they first took the city in 1099.

The series was produced with Turkish historians, Pakistani paleographers, and sixteen writers across its three seasons to ensure historical accuracy. Whether you are watching Salahuddin Ayyubi on HUM TV for the first time or catching up on Season 2, the series remains one of the most watched historical dramas in Pakistan today. New episodes air every Monday to Thursday at 9PM.

How Pakistan Got Involved

Pakistan’s Ansari & Shah Films signed a joint production agreement with Turkey’s Akli Films in August 2021. Over 6,000 Pakistani actors auditioned for roles in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. Only 62 were selected. The final cast is 75% Turkish and 25% Pakistani.

The Pakistan Frontier first reported on this production when it was announced in August 2021. What was then an exciting announcement has since become one of the most-watched historical dramas on Pakistani television.

Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist had gone through a serious violent assault by an inmate at the Federal Medical Center, Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas. She asked for public support after the incident.

CAGE, a US-based NGO, received reports on July 30 2021, from Marwa Elbially, the lawyer of Aafia that her fellow inmate attacked Aafia Siddiqui in her cell and he had been harassing her for some time. He also smashed a blistering hot liquid-filled coffee mug into her face, the lawyer informed.

Dr Aafia Siddiqui in shock and agonizing pain curled into a fetal position. She was taken out by wheelchair from the cell as she was unable to get up after the assault. From an unquantified period, Dr Siddiqui has been placed in administrative solitary incarceration.

Dr Aafia is also known as the “grey lady of Bagram”. In 2010 in a controversial trial during which she was sentenced to 86 years of confinement for attempted murder.

Dr Aafia’s case has been plagued by unpredictabilities, antithetical affirmations and confirmations gathered from torture to the point she has been called “the most wronged woman in the world”. After several years of silence from her and from the US authorities, the public and her family questioned whether she was still alive or not. Her lawyer met Dr Siddiqui in January 2021. Marwa Elbially told CAGE that during her visit to Dr Siddiqui, she was astounded to see clear burns around her eyes, a blister of 3 inches near her left eye. She also saw a wound on her right cheek that was covered in toothpaste and also bruises on her right arm and legs. Dr. Aafia said to her lawyer that it is a miracle of Allah that she is not blind yet.

“Ridley” a journalist who uncovered the story of Aafia said that it is injustice. Moazzam Begg, CAGE Outreach Director, said that in the abject history of the “war on terror” the case of Aafia Siddiqui remains one of the most difficult cases.

He further said that we should ask Pakistani authorities if they will be after her repatriation while she is alive or when she will be inside a body bag. He said that it’s time to close this chapter. She needs to go home and she needs to be with the children she never saw growing up.

Peshawar: Over 126 Afghan Nationals were arrested by Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) as a result of a riot in Hayatabad. The Afghan Nationals were gathered on the night of 18th August that marks Afghanistan’s Independence Day, and the celebration of independence turned violent when the huge gathering of Afghan nationals chanted anti-Pakistan slogans.

The situation got intense when Pakistani youth arrived at the scene to stop Afghan Nationals from raising anti Pakistan slogans causing public disorder and nuisance. According to police officials, when they arrived at the scene of riot and tried to open blocked roads, Afghan nationals resisted them with stone pelting.

The police said they had arrested around 20 Afghan rioters and the rest of the rioters were arrested from the University Town neighbourhood after identification. Authorities will further identify Afghan Nationals in Pakistan who are propagating against the state of Pakistan, said police officials.

Colonel Qasim Shah, who is known for his role as Captain Gulsher in a famed series Alpha Bravo Charlie, took to Twitter to report over 126 Afghan rioters have been deported this morning at 10 am. Arrest Iqrar Ul Hassan Trending Top On Twitter

1

Following the Minar E Pakistan incident, many facts were indicating that the incident was planned for the sake of publicity. Another misleading point was noticed when a Pakistani journalist Iqrar Ul Hassan, who was the first one to interview Ayesha Akram along with Yasir Shami, stated that he had visited Ayesha Akram’s residence to interview her.

Journalist Zohaib Khattak raised a question while showing another picture of Yasir Shami interviewing with the same background. Zohaib Khattak asked Iqrar that first, you should decide whether you were the one who visited Ayesha’s place or Ayesha came to you for an interview.

To cover up a lie, you will have to tell ten more lies, said Zohaib Khattak. Soon after these revelations, social media turned against Iqrar Ul Hassan for giving a false statement to justify his stance and over 54 thousand tweets used the hashtag Arrest Iqrar Ul Hassan.

Shaniera Akram Feels Sorry For All Good Men Who Were Under Criticism Because of Few Bad Men

2

Few days ago, on 14th of August, a tik toker Ayesha Akram held a meetup with her fans at Minar E Pakistan. Reportedly, she was groped and assaulted by a mob of almost 400 men. The incident left majority of the public appalled. Public was outraged on the incident and demanded to punish all the culprits involved in the incident. There was also a trend “#400” men on Pakistan Twitter demanding the punishment of the wrongdoers.

Social media has been discussing this reportedly fake incident for past few days. Meanwhile, Shaniera Akram has raised a point for all those who have been blaming the whole gender because of few culprits. She wrote in her recent tweet that, “My heart goes out to all good men of Pakistan. I’m sorry that so many of your brothers have failed you.”

https://twitter.com/iamShaniera/status/1428296676205228032?s=19

We have always witnessed a campaign after such incidents against women to help her get justice. However, sometimes, there’s a campaign against male gender named “Yes All Men”, that all the men are same as the culprits. The tweet by Shaniera raises a point in favor of “Not All Men”, that the whole gender can’t be blamed for such an incident, these are just few culprits because of whom nice men also get to face heavy criticism.

However, according to the sources, this incident was all pre-planned by Ayesha Akram along with her team as a publicity stunt that is very common among tiktokers. The guard that was present at the Greater Iqbal Park said that she could go if she wanted that but she stayed there on her own will. Also, her Instagram posts didn’t show that she had gone through any trauma after the horrifying incident that had happened. After this planning got revealed, people that were supporting her for the courage that she showed by reporting the incident are now criticising her for defaming the rapport of Pakistan.

Ayesha Akram Misleads Police By Providing False Information

2

Lahore: Latest development in the Minar E Pakistan incident that involved Tiktoker Ayesha Akram and her team has new characters now. The victim known as Ayesha Akram provided wrong home address to Punjab Police. However, journalists and police managed to find the real address of Ayesha Akram despite the the false information provided by her.

A YouTube journalist known as Sheraz Speaks visited the address given by Ayesha Akram in the police complaint report. Journalist Sheraz met a senior citizen couple at Ayesha Akram’s given address who told him that she didn’t live there.

The couple was asked if they know anyone known as Ayesha Akram. The couple replied “We don’t know who Ayesha Akram is, but we are annoyed by journalists and police officials visiting us looking for Ayesha Akram”.

The couple also said we heard that Ayesha Akram was a victim who was groped and sexually assaulted at Minar E Pakistan, they said “We condemn what Ayesha suffered, but what was the reason for providing our address and not her own?”.

Picture of left shows Ayesha Akram’s mothers, picture on right shows the woman whose address was given by Ayesha in police complaint.

The lady in that video stated that we demand exemplary punishment for those who assaulted Ayesha Akram, a punishment that everyone would remember, so nobody has to go through what Ayesha suffered.

Investigation Reveals Ayesha Akram Planned Minar E Pakistan Incident As A Publicity Stunt With Her Partner Rambo

11

The controversial incident at Minar E Pakistan that sparked national outrage and widespread public debate on prevalence of sexual violence and harassment in Pakistan has taken a new turn as new details emerge. According to sources, the meet-up event was planned by the victim Ayesha Akram herself along with her team of TikTokers, to collaborate with other TikTokers to grow audience; a practice common among TikTok community. One of her team members, known as Rambo, is reportedly a member of a TV show called Sar-E-Aam aired on the ARY News Channel.

A statement by a security guard at Greater Iqbal Park revealed that Ayesha Akram, along with her team, came to meet and greet her fans on the eve of independence. As per the security guard, Ayesha had the opportunity to escape the scene once the crowd started harassing her, but she chose not to and stayed there for over two hours out of her own will. Later, she refused to file complaint with the police when they reached the scene. https://twitter.com/Akhokhar333/status/1428083570548092929?s=19

Another lesser-known fact is that men covering her were her team members, and one of her team members known as Rambo is reported to be Ayesha’s Fiance.

In another video, her own team member can be seen groping her, the same team member who can be seen covering her as a bodyguard.

The man groped Ayesha Akram on left can be seen guarding her on right.

Previously, Ayesha Akram had made TikTok videos with her partner Rambo, who can be seen lifting her in the same manner he lifted her on 14 August. This scene from Minar E Pakistan made many people believe she was groped and sexually assaulted by the mob, but the man holding her turned out to be her team member Rambo.

Meanwhile, Ayesha Akram’s Instagram posts never indicated that she was going through trauma after what happened to her at Minar E Pakistan, she was celebrating 15 August like nothing had happened a day before. After her video at Minar E Pakistan went viral on Social Media, she realised that this matter was trending and she decided to take help from Police as well as Media. Iqrar ul Hassan and Yasir Shami interviewed her and soon the mainstream media jumped the bandwagon.

Ayesha Akram on 15th August VS Ayesha Akram on 17th August

Actress Sanam Chaudhry said she was scared to the core when she watched the video of the mob, then she said what shocked her was that Ayesha was so calm the next day after this incident, and she can’t digest that.

Mathira took on the Instagram to express her views that Ayesha Akram has decided to cash this unfortunate incident and she can’t see any sorrow or trauma on her face.

Waqar Zaka also took to the internet to tweet that Minar E Pakistan Incident was a publicity stunt and he will investigate this incident to expose the truth, calling it a matter of Pakistan’s dignity.

A special Investigation team has been setup by the Punjab police to find out if the police didn’t respond to 15 calls, as is being alleged by Ayesha and Rambo now. An FIR against 400 men has been registered and police is actively identifying and arresting those involved in this criminal assault.
