A student leader from Rawalpindi, Shaheer Haider Malik also known as Shaheer Sialvi, leader of State Youth Parliament, has been arrested for allegedly supporting violent Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protest and encouraging people to join it challenging the writ of the state. Police official stated that case has been registered against Shaheer Sialvi under the provisions of Anti Terrorism Act (ATA) at Westridge Police Station in Rawalpindi. Action against Shaheer Sialvi took place after his video on social media went viral in which he was encouraging people to join the violent TLP protest and declaring Saad Rizvi’s arrest as evil act by the state. The Federal Government banned the TLP due to riots and violent protests across the country by their supporters which resulted in destruction of peace and property of common people.
Bajwa welcomes Biden’s decision
Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa Welcomed US President Joe Biden’s announcement of withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan by September 2021.General Bajwa in a meeting with US Charge d’ Affairs to Pakistan Mrs Angela Aggeler, who called on him at GHQ on Thursday stated prosperous, stable and peaceful Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan in particular and region.The US diplomat appreciate Pakistan efforts in Afghanistan peace process and assured that US will continue its assistance for the common cause of peace in Afghanistan.
Malaysia considering to buy Pakistani JF-17 Thunder
Malaysian Air Force is looking for new fighter jet and options they had for new fighter jets was Pakistani JF-17 Thunder, Indian Tejas, South Korean FA-50. Malaysian delegation who visited all these countries offering them their fighter jet came to a conclusion considering JF-17 Thunder and FA-50 as top competitors for induction.Interestingly, it was reported earlier that Malaysian team would be visiting India again in the next two months to have a tour of the Tejas production facilities on Indian government’s request.
