EU willing to use trade policy to pressurise Pakistan on blasphemy law issue

Swedish politician Charlie Weimers took on the floor of the European Union and stated that EU Parliament should review Pakistan’s blasphemy law, calling it a threat to freedom of expression. Charlie said Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan doesn’t want anyone to talk against their Prophet, while he is not defending human rights of his own citizens against accusers of blasphemy.

He further said that instead of protecting human rights, Prime Minister Imran Khan is equating criticism of Islamic Prophet with genocide done in holocaust. Prime Minister Imran Khan in a ceremony where he announced big relief package for famers, also said that the Federal Government of Pakistan has allocated 40 billion PKR to import cattle semen.

Pakistan has so many castle farms but still we have to import some dairy products because of lack of productivity, therefore we have allocated 40 billion PKR so cattle farmers can improve breeding of their cattle, which will increase production of dairy product three times in 2 years and allow Pakistanis to fulfil their own needs and export dairy products like cheese and butter as well.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also said that Pakistani farmers are still using outdated methods for agriculture, we will send our agents through motorcycles who will visit farmers and their agricultural lands and they will teach them new techniques of farming which will give them extra yield so they will be able to sell their agricultural product instead of only using it for themselves.

Four Muslim countries ready to join Pakistan in raising issue of blasphemy against Muhammad (PBUH) done by the French, in the UN and EU

Prime Minister Imran Khan in a ceremony where he laid foundation stone of the South Punjab Secretariat in Multan talked about the recent protest by banned organisation TLP.

Imran said that there is no Muslim who doesn’t love Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him), but some people take wrong way to express that love and they think that their demand will stop blasphemy done by France. Even if we expel French Ambassador what will we do next? What if they still continue to do blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him). That is why we need a better approach towards this problem and the solution I am trying to bring for this problem is far better than expelling their Ambassador.

The way no one in Western world can speak against holocaust because Jews are united. Same way we Muslims have to unite against this blasphemy only then we will able to criminalize blasphemy of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him). PM Imran said four Muslim countries have responded back to Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and they are willing to raise this matter with us in United Nations and European Union.
